As an update to the previous post regarding water odor and appearance concerns, the Board of Directors wants to reiterate that the District’s water supply continues to be safe to drink and use. The District is still utilizing a larger percentage of surface water in the treated water blend due to maintenance of one of the ground water wells. This maintenance is anticipated to be completed in the next couple of weeks and returning the water well to service should alleviate some of the odor and appearance issues. Additionally, the Board has requested the District’s operator and engineer to investigate options for permanent water plant and distribution system modifications to improve the water odor and appearance. The Board takes these concerns seriously and appreciates residents’ patience while the Board works towards solutions.
